Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (DS) and Silent Hill: Homecoming (PS3/360) are both out this week. Are you picking up either of them? What’s your interest level in them? I know you were aprehensive about the new Silent Hill after watching some previews of it.

I am going to try to pick up the Sonic Game, since the only one I have is Sonic Advance, and that’s not just cutting it for me. I am looking extremley forward to the game, as it is a RPG, and I am a big Fan of that.
You know, I’m not sure. I am going to have my roommate that works at Gamestop borrow Silent Hill (she is a big fan herself). I am very skeptical of the game, and from what little I have seen, I do not like the new direction.
A few years ago, Paul Anderson directed the movie Alien vs Predator. He mentioned in an interview, how he had studied the Alien movies, and noted how there was build up and a lot of time before the alien even appears. He was studying this to create tension and make a high quality movie. But when the movie came out…..it sucked ass.
I had the same feeling when I saw an interview with one of the programmers on Silent Hill on G4. Said how they were copying the atmosphere and studying what made the others (minus the PSP one) so good. Then the game footage they showed, demonstrated to me that they had not captured the essence of the game.
Silent Hill is one of my favorite series and is on my top 10 list. I skipped Silent Hill 4 for the most part, because it also seemed very weak. I expect a higher caliber from Silent Hill.
I’m getting the new Sonic game. I didn’t know about Silent Hill, so I’ll have to grab that later.
They both don’t seem really that interesting. I am more into getting Rock Band 2.
I’ve tried playing Silent Hill 4 twice, but both times I just kind of forgot about it and played something different. I’ll definitely play the new Silent Hill at some point, because I’m such a big fan of the first 3.
I haven’t been interested in a Sonic game since Sonic 3 & Knuckles (probably my all time favourite game).
I still need a job, so I don’t have much money to spend. All I’m buying in October is the special edition of Fable II, and the first volume of the English release of the Zelda manga. If I had more money I’d buy the Sonic RPG.
Once I get a DS hopefully sometime before the end of the year, I plan on getting the Sonic game.
I’ve been having to go to walmart a lot lately, and they’ve had a poster on the entrance up all week, and it just nags at me.
I of course enjoyed all the original Sonics, and I even enjoyed Sonic R lol. Then once Adventure hit, I was all over that, then Adventure 2 was meh… But after that I haven’t had a chance to play anything else, and I’ve always wondered what a sonic RPG would be like. First chance I get, I’m gonna play it!
